Variable Speed controllers for Diesel Fire Pumps. - Not favorable.

Looking at better alternatives to prevent water hammer events.

Using different set points.

NRC Inspection. Corrective Action using set points for compliance.

We stagger the start pressures of our fire pumps. About 10 PSI difference between the two. If we have a motor-driven pump, that one starts first.
